Businessman and owner of Berry Don Financial Services in Linstead, St Catherine, Wayne Stanbury, was gunned down on Sunday Morning about 8:25 am in the parking lot of the Emmanuel Apostolic Church on Slipe Road in Kingston.
He was attacked and shot dead while he was walking in the churchyard.
Reports are, Stanbury arrived for church and parked his 2020 Toyota Prado in the parking lot at the back of the church.
He was accosted by a man who exited a motor vehicle and walked over to him.
The man opened gunfire hitting the businessman all over his upper body before making his escape in the waiting motor vehicle.
Stanbury reportedly died on the spot.
A high-level police probe is underway.
Stanbury had survived an attempt on his life in October last year when his car was shot up.
He received only minor injuries then.
