President of the Jamaica Manufacturers and Exporters’ Association, JMEA, Richard Pandohie, says the nation needs more innovation to increase productivity.
He supports Prime Minister Andrew Holness’ plans to build at least six academies soley dedicated to Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, STEM education.
Mr Pandohie notes that the Jamaican economy has seen improvements, due to fiscal discipline exercised over the last few years.
But he says that trend must continue.
