Gov’t Ramps Up Water Distribution Efforts Islandwide

Local Government Minister Desmond McKenzie, says the government is ramping up efforts to distribute water to communities across the island, experiencing drought conditions.

He is also warning private truckers to get certified and operate according to protocols.

He was speaking last evening at Local Government Ministry Town Hall meeting on Dengue Prevention and Disaster Preparedness at the Everglades Centre in Black River, St Elizabeth.

He also says St Elizabeth is to have a brand new water truck by summer this year, to assist with trucking water to needy communities.
