Gov’t Invests $66-Million into Development of Health & Wellness Tourism Sector

Tourism Minister, Ed Bartlett, says the ministry will be spending some $66-million in the next three years in the pursuit of the development of a health and wellness tourism sector.

Mr Bartlett made the announcement during his keynote address at the inaugural staging of the Jamaica Health and Wellness Tourism Conference held at the Montego Bay Convention Centre in St James, yesterday.

Mr Bartlett says he’s committed to making health and wellness tourism a niche area.

Mr Bartlett says it’s important for Jamaica to tap into the 1-trillion US dollar industry.
