Former PNP MP for North Trelawny, Wendell ‘Bull Bull’ Stewart has died

Former North Trelawny Member of Parliament (MP), Wendell ‘Bull Bull’ Stewart, died at his home in the parish capital, Falmouth, on Sunday morning.

Stewart, who was an amputee, had been ailing for some time.

He was the People National Party’s (PNP) parliamentary representative between 1997 and October 2002.

He died in his sleep.

Stewart’s death followed close on the heels of that of former Industry and Commerce Minister, Douglas Vaz, who was a four-term Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) MP, who last represented North East St Andrew.

The long-serving politician passed away in his sleep on Saturday night. He was 83 years’ old.

Douglas Vaz was the father of current West Portland MP and Cabinet Minister, Daryl Vaz.
